The twenty-eighth ADIT non-profit partnership conference was held in Omsk from June 1 to 7, 2024.
The host organization was the Omsk State Museum of Fine Arts.
In 2022, thanks to the support of the Vladimir Potanin Charitable Foundation, an ADIT club was held in Omsk, consisting of lectures and two-day project workshops. One of the results of the club meeting was the decision to hold the 2024 conference in Omsk.
- Over 200 participants attended the conference in person, and over 100 more registered for online participation.
- Our colleagues from Kaliningrad and Vladivostok, the Altai Territory and the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, and the Tver, Arkhangelsk, and Vologda regions participated in the conference—a total of 45 regions of Russia were represented.
- The spring months were devoted to working with schoolchildren as part of our traditional educational project "School of Schools," led by Tatyana Nikolaeva and Oksana Turskaya. We developed a quest game, "Explorer of Eras," (through the halls of the Governor's Palace, which is part of the Vrubel Museum) and an audio performance, "Muzya and Marusya," based on the Vrubel Wing exhibit. You can listen to them (in Russian) on the tmatic.travel platform, which Yegor Yakovlev presented at the conference.
- Over 20 people participated in the traditional ADIT Workshops (the second in Western Siberia). Learn more about the workshops on this page.
- The conference's traveling program included three routes: to the Achairsky Monastery and P.S. Komissarov Arboretum, the "Starina Sibirskaya" Historical and Cultural Complex and the Bolsherechensky Zoo in the village of Bolsherechye, and the town of Tara and the Latvian village of Bobrovka in the Tarsky District. The third route was the longest ADIT field trip: we had to leave at 6 a.m. and return after midnight. But it was worth it!
On June 5, 2024, the regular General Meeting of the Non-Profit Partnership (NP ADIT) was held:
- N.M. Petrova was reconfirmed as President of the Non-Profit Partnership (NP ADIT);
- Amendments to the Charter were adopted to transform the organization into the legal form of an Association, which fully corresponds to our unchanged name, "Association for Documentation and Information Technology," and the acronym ADIT;
- The ADIT Presidium was re-elected for a new three-year term (until 2027). T.Yu. Nikolaeva, I.S. Tambovtsev, and O.L. Turskaya were elected to the Presidium;
- Five new members were admitted to ADIT.
Recordings of the conference working sessions have been published on the ADIT YouTube channel.
The conference's educational program was supported by the Vladimir Potanin Charitable Foundation.
